    JACK BERESFORD WINS FIFTH U.S. KNEEBOARD TITLE AT HUNTINGTON BEACH PIER Jack Beresford of San Diego reclaimed the Open Championship at the 11th Annual KSUSA U.S. Titles today in Huntington Beach. The win earned Beresford an unprecedented fifth KSUSA U.S. title.

    In 2012, the KSUSA US Titles returned to Huntington Beach. The contest was completely filled before the deadline, and everyone showed up. Once again, we were blessed with great weather and good surf. Chris Beresford earned the 2012 Open Championship. Chris is expected to defend his titles next month.

    In 2011, Jack Beresford regained the Open Championship in Huntington Beach. Jack and his brother Chris battled Tom Backer and Chris Buscemi in an exciting Open final. Shaun Murphy took the win in his final season in the Junior division, had a strong showing in the Open division, and placed third in the AAA division.

    In 2010, the KSUSA US Kneeboard Titles returned to Huntington Beach. Bill Lerner claimed his first KSUSA US Open Championship.

    In January 2009, KSUSA returned to Steamer Lane in Santa Cruz for the 2009 US Kneeboard Surfing Titles. World Champ Gavin Colman traveled from Australia to compete and took home top honors.

    In November 2007, the KSUSA US Kneeboard Surfing were moved to Oceanside. Partly to mix things up, and also because it’s difficult to get permits for multiple contests in Santa Cruz in one year.     The annual KSUSA US Titles event that would have been scheduled for November 2006 was postponed while KSUSA planned to host it’s first World Titles event in December 2006. The World Titles were eventually moved out to January 2007. Steamer Lane was the venue for an incredible event.

    November 2004, KSUSA Kneeboard Surfing Titles and Festival returned to Pleasure Point, Santa Cruz in November 2004. Barry Baker fought a close battle with Jack Beresford to claim the Championship.
