on the other side of the breakwall..
Hey Scott,It was my first time surfing the place and it won't be the last...
You could either walk along the breakwall and jump in or take the express elevator (the rip)straight out..
This spot is a reverse Oceanside CA S. Harbor Jetty. It breaks lefts like this on the N. (Rt.) side during summer souths and long rights way outside on the S. (Lft.) side during fall and winter west and north west swells. There are many places like this in Newport beach So. Cal also. Gotta love the free rides out next to the jetty. Casey
We pulled up here about 8am on a Saturday morning , nobody out you can see the rivermouth first, and i saw waves there as well...we walk up the wall a bit to check both sides and Mygod turns up...a cracking set roll down the wall and i said to Mygod 'how come there's nobody out'...he shrugs his shoulders ....fark...i was out there in a flash took a while for the penny to drop on the rest
