neal, i was so close to getting one of these back in the day, as i recall pete wanted a bit for them [ why i pulled back ] though well and truly justified for the work that goes into them, what a water craft, give us some construction details AB

Hmm, construction..ok, The easiest way is to start with two identical un-glued blanks and cut them 3" off centre and then do the glue up and while wet brick the curve out of the blank and into negative rocker. Shape the bottom and nose and glass. It has two layers of twill alu-glass and one 4oz S glass on the bottom plus extras on the flex rails. The deck is one 4oz and one twill carbon plus 3 extra carbon /kevlar in the knee area etc. Pinlines are "coopers beer red" which is what i was drinkin when i did them!! Laminate resin is vinyl-ester.Handles are carbon...
Wayne, Its actually a design from 1969.....i still have the original..

Love the creations that are kneeboard specific. Tapping hydros that the stand-up tribe can only drool at. No way they could dance on that deck, no "stomp pad". Even after decades of refining the design you incorporate the handles and a single fin primary drive force which speaks volumes in regards to your passion for laying into the G-force aspect of our wave riding choice. MUCH RESPECT, and thanks for bringing this forward.

neal, i spose you've thought to use block EPS and just hot wire the foil in deck & bottom ?? saving all that work also that construction would be perfect for styrene i'm off for 3 weeks tomorrow so i'd like to yak when i get back AB

AB,..the board that preceeds this one is made that way..18years ago i purchased a block of eps from Shane stedman and shaped it and glassed it in glass/carbon/kevlar /epoxy.....Unfortunatly i am now sensitised to epoxy and cant go near it so its back to basic materials again!

Some interesting parallels with Terry Hendricks Omni from the same era. Fascinating.
