Paul has always told me about his collection of older kneeboards , so between surfs yesterday Brian and I helped him pull them out of the back room for a better look! Also pictured is his new board that he recently had shaped and a older cut down mal/ paipo! more to see at http://kingwakaskorner.blogspot.com.au/2013/11/king-neptunes-treasure.html
Waka and Paul great article of our history. Chris Crozier collection Paul is fantastic. It brought back a lot of great memories for me from that era. The decals - the colours - the shapes - The days when board makers could manufacture the board. Shape - Glass - spray - tint - pinline - bleeds - sand - finish coat - polish. Chris Crozier a true craftsman.
Thank you.
Which Bonza Mike I am getting ( and this is next year) a similar copy of the '74 bonza (pink spray) with the Ventura's feeding off both sides , thru to the tail. Just love the old school multi coloured pin line's on the twinnie. The other bonza has really shallow mini channels, with the four fin having massive vee as does the twin fin. Your so right Peter, Chris was a outstanding tradesperson/craftsman and I was just blown away when Paul just casually pulled 4 different boards , spanning a decade I was like a dog with two aresholes just found the holy grail
Thank you.
