Another aspect of deepwater Australian peak
The swell was actually pretty slight but what there was certainly jacks up when it hits this reef. Saw it years before with 2 to 3m of swell and it was quite impressive.

what an abosolute peach!!! how far offshore?

It's closer to the edge of the continental shelf than it is to land and is several hours from port. Other than hitting the reef the main risk is sharks. I have avoided identifying it - perhaps this is the call of the first person to paddle into one.
