this picture reminds me of Sunset Cliffs and what the surf schools are doing to that stretch of coastline. There's some intresting reading in the forum section right now....

Jesus. I don't know how anyone deals with crowds like this. I count at least 25 people in just this frame. At my break on a busy day there are 25 people, but only about five are really catching the reef peaks. The rest are just wannabees and groms, basically slalom cones.

I got a chance to surf windansea on sunday and Im glad the mob was not like that, I would of went else where, But I did have a good time with the small group that came, Martin, Shaun, Joe, Sam and a stand up grom. Very Happy

Looks like a picnic compared to North Narrabeen or Superbank under good conditions.

Zeke, Shaun, Martin, the Footie Grom and I surfed there Saturday mid morning after a DP at Blacks. The crowd was never more than ten people and a whole lot of fun.

The mob at Windansea is usually very manageable, if you know how ... Wink
There's usually a pack of groms on the inside right, a small group of longboarders and hard core locals waiting for the biggest sets on the outside, some wannabes and dorks (the most dangerous) paddling around not knowing where to sit, and some hard core rippers picking off the midsize peaks and best sets in range from the mid inside to mid outside. Find the niche least occupied with the most waves, and you're in.
Cool

Except for the pylons you have to slalom around ...
