I have not used either of those fins but I have the pod PF2 fins now and they have worked well. Wonderful thrust, no blisters but on the Central Coast we do where fin socks my only problem with these fines is after a couple hours I have foot cramping issues. I was wondering if anyone has tried or us...

HB you may have the option of setting up your board with FCS fins in both the old school “what you know” fin placement and the modern fins forward placement. I have the old school fin placement on a Freeline quad fish and have played with fin size but wish I would have done the option of fins forwar...

sf_firestarter I would have to agree. I ride a 5’8” Freeline quad fish here on the central coast and have no problems out in large overhead surf with fins. When I have tried the same board in sizeable surf with out fins I felt like a wimp and could not get into the wave in a timely manner… i.e. I at...

I have a pair of the H2O 5 mil fin socks and they do leek as Ken has mentioned. They are comfortable but do have a tendency to fill up a little and they are not as warm as my 3 mil XCEL booties where (split toe could not do it gave them away), anyway I was wondering if any one has tired the Body glo...

Will we see a ksusa 2010 title contest this winter/spring?
Just wanted to check and see if there where any plans for a 2010 ksusa title contest this winter/spring. If anyone has any info on potential dates, I would love to hear about it. Last year we had booked a cabin for the annual family ski/board trip and I was unable to attend. I would love to make it ...

I have been using pod fins for years, now the Pod PF2’s they have a comfortable foot pocket and a stiff blade the gives you great acceleration when scrapping for waves. You can pick them up at www.alternativesurf.com . I would highly recommend them for a combination of power and comfort. They are my...

I would always take into consideration how well a new board is going to duck dive. If you can’t get out it does not matter how well a board rides, (unless you have a pier near by). My 5’8” Freeline quad fish is a master duck-diver and the one I use when it gets big. Not only does it hold in well on ...
