Re: Top turns

Hello welcome to kneeboarding :) ah, there is a whole school of thought that says don't touch your rail :) so that's a choice to make. One way of doing things on a kneeboard is to turn with the opposite shoulder over inside rail (so on a top turn it would be the rail nearest the beach). Drive down o...

hya, I ride quads, fin box in front, fcs or similar in back just a few randoms... interestingly if you move the front fin back (Ie close the gap) then upto a point the board becomes looser as the two fins start to act as one and the size of the fulcrom 'point' (ie the apparent fine base) reduces. As...

I'm very sad to hear about MOW's passing. I always enjoyed feeling the vibe of his posts and his passion for spoons. He obviously was a marvelous human being. Hugs from Australia to his family and friends.

lucky man with the DP board.

:) take care of the shoulder, one thing you'll find when back in the water is star anchors under water might be problematic and trying to cover your head after a bad wipeout will be slow

so dont wipe out I guess

I spent 12 months out of the water after I screwed mine

but they look silly ;)

you'd get laughed at if you did them here
but who are we to care, eh?
let them laugh, hahaha

as long as the spinner puller offer is having fun
and doesnt care about getting negative points
you know, from a reverse aura manoeuvre

good points Dunc, it's a good way to look at it.
I always think about fins in relation to my feet, but what you say makes a lot of sense.

guys round here ride Firewires - double ended paddlepop stick things - interestingly even the good surfers have trouble drawing out their turns in bigger waves because of lack usable of rail - but i think they get used to it

yes I'm crooked.
for me riding lefts is like throwing a ball like a girl does - the ball goes in the general direction...

It's a PITA.
Just ordered a board with lots of ' dynamic' asymmetry to try and account for it.

hey JDC!! well I'm living in Newie, the new Oneils Physcho 3 is amazing, my wife asks me what the water is like and I have to say I don't know. It's very light and flexable and dries out in a few hours (3/2) but if it ever starts to leak I think it won't be much chop. It's hydrophobic ? and t he neo...
