Thanks guys.. That post on Realsurf was a great read and I've forwarded it onto some friends down in JBay who will definitely enjoy reminiscing about those days.. At least the surf in JBay is just as good as it always was. I traveled down to watch the final day of the ASP contest there last month an...

Wild Coast - South Africa

I am based near East London which is about 250kms from the house so I am looking at taking trips from there.. For a rate per day I will prov...

Certainly do-able.. You would probably have to fly into SA then catch a connecting flight to Windhoek in Namibia. From there either rent a vehicle (4x4 for sand) and drive the 300km+ to Walvis Bay where the spot is situated. There is a small landing strip there but I'm not sure what the set-up is wi...

Kneeboarder @ Skeleton Bay
Came across this and there's a fair amount of footage of an unknown Kneeboarder getting some decent ones at what must now be one of the worlds most sought after waves.. Heard it was a bit over-run up there last week for a much bigger swell.. It is an amazing wave though https://www.youtube.com/watch...

I had a few waves this morning on my mates board.. was about 2 foot and not heaps of power. I had a lot of fun on that little thing! It is way smaller than my board I am riding at the moment.. 8 inches shorter, an inch narrower and a bit thinner too but it was really easy to catch waves (I was weari...

The thing is Terence those keel fins situated way in the back and near the rails are an inherent part of the Simmons design and theory.. check this out http://rusty.com/us/blog/2010/02/23/talking-design-with-rusty-bob-simmons-and-hulls-part-i/ and it's only the fin placement that worrys me from a Kn...
