I just watched some of the video Jack took from the contest and I just wanted to second a couple of points: 1) Darcy -- Wow! I was impressed watching you at Santa Cruz but you were on another level with some of those turns in Tahiti! 2) Everyone ripped in the finals (too bad it wasn't a tad bigger) ...

I've used pipe insulation to pad the stock roof racks on my car and the board racks in my garage. 1001 uses!

Anyone know where Albert and Jack finished in the Open Men's Division? I see they unfortunately didn't make the final.

From the looks of things Jack entered in several different divisions. The heat he didn't show for was for one of the age divisions, not the Open. Hopefully someone is already planning this, but have someone shoot some video -- if we're fortunate to have some healthy south swells roll though, we could get some good-looking footage to share or perhaps get compiled with other video into a future DVD.....

Rachel, Just to build upon Dan and Darcy's comments, the Santa Cruz Kneeboard Festival will take place Nov. 18-20 this year. One element that will be added this year is a "juniors" division to encourage kids and teens to try kneeboarding. It's setup is not too specific yet, but we hope to ...

I'm fired up to go. FYI, My only conflicting time is Aug 21-22, because that weekend I help out with a cancer fund-raiser in San Diego. But I think other times should be good.
