Re: Time for a new board

Interesting you used red foam for your board. It's light, but it is also very susceptible to pressure. Have you tried blue foam? It's a bit heavier, though not much, but holds up much better to stress.

Great job. Your board looks fantastic.

Re: KSUSA contest

Word has it KSUSA will not be hosting a US Titles Contest this year, alas. With the Kneeboard Surfing World Titles being held in Australia this fall and the costs of hosting the US Titles (the group is upside-down from last year's event), I've been told it's likely off. That being said, I would be h...

I didn't bring out the GoPro when it was big so I have no footage but there are probably 25-40 people out at this particular spot on a swell. What's funny (and not so funny because of the danger for the rest of us) is it got pretty big- and pretty thick, and these tourist surfers didn't have the goo...

Prolite bags. As you know, I travel A LOT! The Prolite 6'6" wheeled travel bag is 25 inches wide and will hold 3 boards easily. I bag my boards THEN put them in my Prolite. No issues at all. But, they're expensive.

There are 3 of us already registered, and I imagine more have not be posted online yet (Scott, you being one of those) due to NSSA lag. Should be fun!

Forget it. I read that as while you were "in" heat. My mistake.

I think Jack would have won even without the spinners. On another note, I was voted "most sexiest man on the beach" again this year and I can't even do spinners. We need some women judges.   I have to agree with you on Jack winning with or without the spinners. Being that ...

I have to say, however, not being a fan of the 360, the cutback to 360 sucking back into the foam ball Jack laid down in the finals... well, it was pretty cool looking.

I've never done one on purpose- accidentally in the twin fin era.

There were a lot of conversations on the beach at the KSUSA Titles that I overheard in reference to the "spinner" and consensus was they don't actually get scored.

I would sign that petition, Hank.

Hank, I went with foiled rails (Brewer) and a flat deck on my main boards. You don't have to lose the volume in the middle to foil rails. yeah I'm using the term foil in a sloppy way. Let's swap boards for a few waves the next time we cross paths - should be interesting as they're almost exact oppo...
