Nelson lived in Cambria in the 70's. Moved up north (don't talk about that), had a little trouble and moved to Bali. I hear he now spends half the year in NorCal and returns to Bali. And he rode Bonzers, shaped by the Campbell brothers. He was one of the first people I met here in 1973.

Mainland Mexico 2007, got launched on a "not so" big left, felt some impact on my left side. Came up got on my board and OUCH ! Every stroke. 800 ml. ibuprofen helped. Surfed 6 more days but one arm paddling and a lot of fin work. Got home and went to my Doc, as the pain was still there. X...

I say have an all expenses payed surf trip for two, in a drawing each year. Still have enough left over for the boards.

Good for you Jerry. I'm 59 in April and just retired from 28.5 years with CA. State Parks. And I'm thinking plan B is pensianado Panama. I love the Central Coast, but a cold snap last week has got me thinking again. Congrats to you and lots of odobo in the future.

Well, made it to 56. Small today but the wind laid down for a bit. Just good to get wet. Salmon bites on. 1\4 mile off the beach. Looks like a good day to get a year older.
