Heading to zarautz for the next week and possibly to biarritz. Any tips, advice, what to bribe the...

board pads

Thanks mates. Mainly just wondering if needed to remove glue, and will do and then replace. This is what happens when the swell goes up and you get in a hurry. It really sucks when your pads are peeling off while you are out in the water. Surf here in Santa Barbara has been good from rincon down, bu...

I do on the rare occasions I see one. A friend told me that last tuesday to kneeboarders were ripping rincon and getting shacked at the rivermouth with the good sand build up. I like the pads too. My other board has them and they are not heavy and just better. Hope you get some of the swell arriving...

I bought the pads from Bud in Hawaii and didn't install correctly. So they came unglued and I pulled them off. Any idea how to dissolve the glue and put in new ones, or maybe it's just better to glue over the glue as it may offer a traction?

You got it. I am going to Troncones for the first time in late April, then hope to get to SD in the next month or two. I'll shoot you a line.

Just saw your invite Jeff. I will do that. I usually go to SD about twice a year to hang out with me homies, but they are drinking more, surfing less, so prefer to still surf more. Thanks for the invite. I surfed with a kid at campus point a few times from IB. UCSB student. He said it wasn't unhealt...

Nice little hook. I remember surfing it a few times in the mid 70s, dawn patrol, and a lot like that, fast short barrels. Reminds me of silver strand or baja malibu.

Pendo pads would be great if you live where he installs them, but otherwise, the Mccray ones are great, and only $40. There is also a guy in Costa Mesa who is very competitive. No sense dissing anyone about this, serves no purpose. Pendo would say the same.

Mccrays pads are real comfie on the knees, and not very heavy at all.

IF that's Pendo as in Steve Pendarvis in SD, I went to school with that guy. He's a newbs charger and a great guy! I got pads from Mccray, but tried to order another set and haven't heard back from him, so maybe will try pendo too.

Mccray's pads were pretty nice.

Been going there a lot over past 28 years, but only seen a couple, then again, I am not a dawn patroller, so totally don't see that part of the population, or the weekenders.

Good stuff. I still keep in touch with my friend tom wolverton, the guy who turned me on to big rock back in the early 70s. He lived in SB for about 25 years and is a really good kneeboarder. He's one of the guys that is getting a Seebold board and is really stoked.

Cayucos. Good stuff. Is Potter the kneeboarder with the really long hair and beard tat I've seen out there over the past thirty years? Love it up there, especially that left reef/point break somewhere north of you that reminds me of big rock. The kneeboarders in my hometown of San Diego are now usin...
