Hey, Hey, Jon! Neither side- not West nor East! Remember I'm a Watsonville boy and grew up surfing the beaches - Manresa to Moss Landing. About as far as I made into Santa Cruz regularly was the.......gulp..... the east side. For those of you who don't know - Jon grew up about spitting distance - li...

I'm glad everyone understands this 'rivalery' is all in good fun. After KBing all my life, where I rarely saw another KBer, I am always stoked to see fellow KBers - no matter where they are from. Santa Cruz used to have a East v. West thing going for years, but that was between the standuppers. We K...

Welcome, Inigo! Its is good to see another international kneeboarder on our site.

If you want to know about kneeboard shapes, this is the spot. But be careful what you ask for - there are a lot of very knowledgable KBers here with a lot of great ideas!

Good Luck!

re: Parking. Contest site/on-site HQ is at the junction of East Cliff Drive and 32nd Avenue. The summer time, tourist parking restrictions are off for the winter so you can park on any of the side streets without having to buy a parking permit. Since the road that follows the coastlines at Pleasure ...

Dry suit? What's a dry suit? lol

Peter Mel and Adam Repogal just returned from a tow-in surf trip to Canada. I'm not sure where but my bet is on somewhere near the coast....

To Our Warm Water Friends - You will definitely need full wetsuits for the Santa Cruz area. 4mm/3mm will probably be the best for this time of year (we wear 5/3mm during the winter with booties, hoods and sometimes gloves). We can probably arrange wetsuits for whomever needs one. At the least, we ca...

The glass spoons do have a boat-like nose area. I've always tried to go that way: roll the front rails up and shape in a rounded V bottom. My dad raced small boats and we always had 4-5 boats at the house at any time. My earliest memories, from the mid to late 1950's, is the smell of fiberglass and ...

Ch Cole: Think of this as the beginning of the rest of your KBing life...... I'm in the same boat as you (50 y/o; 180 #; last board a 5'8" thruster). Because of this forum, I'm popping down to Freeline Surf Shop this AM to pick up my new 6'0" 23 1/4 wide quad. Due to an ankle and a shoulde...

Hey, Ler - Come on over to my house. I'm on an extra small water company and the aquafer is directly under Nisene Marks State Park.
Really great water right out of the tap.

At least we can send a little water back down south since the trophys will be staying in Nor Cal......
