Hammer..thanks for taking an interest! Things are just starting up here..meeting wise...so it was pretty mellow. We also had a typhoon blow through right on top of the meeting days...could have kept a few folks away.... The good thing was that people got to get together...compare boards and share id...

Yeah, it was pretty big today..everyone figures it is going to pick up even more tomorrow......

We just got a place at Keiki Bungalows.... This place is really nice...clean, with lots of space and two floors. We need a few more folks to make the price a little more cost effective. We are here now (Feb. 14th, Mon) and will be here until the end of the month. Tony, Red, Mike and Mike are now her...

Got about four more hours before I head for the plane...pretty happy about that....couple things to wrap up...sleep on the flight and wake up somewhere warm with waves....very nice!

I am looking to share transportation...maybe we could hook up sometimes.
I was thinking of renting a car but it doesn't make sense for everyone to have their own.....I could pitch in for gas/expenses etc.....

Yeah, I was quoted about $900 extra to fly from Japan to Australia and back with two boards....Yes, that is only the board charge!! The ticket is even more crazy.. I have also got continental quoting me $80 each way from Japan to Hawaii.. Does this sound reasonable? Thanks again for your input.. mike

Hey, does anyone out there know the kneeboard baggage policies for Continental Airlines? I am hoping to fly with two or three boards in a coffin case.......from what I can find out, it looks like all boards are considered extra baggage?? Do they ding you for each board? Or just the case?
