You'd be surprised, Howard. Gisborne town beach looks like that sometimes, after a big "rain event." It's silt coming down the rivers, the Waipaoa is 1 of the siltiest rivers in the world. True! A few years back, a US survey ship spent a year moored in the bay, studying siltation. When it ...

Hi Jonathan. James has told me about this trip already As for Christchurch kneelos, I am ex Chch myself. I know another one named Greg Thomas. He surfs Magnet Bay on the south side of Banks Penensula, just along from Little River, quite a bit. I haven't checked with him, but if you email me I will g...

Hi Darrin. I reckon your board is too short, but I wouldn't go to 5'9". I'm about 1" shorter than you & 12kg lighter. In 2008 Bruce Hart shaped me a 5'5" thruster. (can't find the rest of the dimensions, don't have a non-metric tape measure. can you help me here, Bruce?). That boa...

If the newspaper article you referred to was about Bob Clark, & posted by WAKA, I am the guilty party. I asked WAKA to post for me, so all yous could see what Bob was up to. Sorry, I won't do it again. It was from the Gisborne Herald. The accompanying photo of Bob was taken by Bob's friend Bob G...

Every now & again I see Bob, or he makes his presence known....... FYI the North Island did NOT miss out on fault lines. The deadliest quake in NZ was in Napiier in 1930 something. We had a 6.8 quake in Gisborne 2 years ago. People from here are going to Chch to help assess buildings, & shar...

For muscle cramps, try increasing your magnesium intake, whether by supplements or food. Muscles need calcium for contraction & magnesium for release. Anything rich in chlorophyll has abundant magnesium: spirulina, dark green leafy veg.

Kia ora. Although I hope to sell Bob's newer boards, (they deserve to be ridden regularly), I plan to keep some of Bob's older boards as a contribution to the board bank. There are older Blasts, some Ace 6 fins & other weird & wonderful "collector's items". His boards are in the 5'...
