I think i know the spot you are talking about Red. Is it the one next to the caravan park? I went there last year smack bang in the middle of the MrPrice pro and there were maybe 6 guys out. Everyone seems to know about it but it's way easier to park you car and jump off a pier. When I was a ...

I rode the one in Durban SA. It's nothing like a real wave and it's basically 4 inches of water hauling ass over a concrete form so it hurts real bad when you go down. It's more like a moving halfpipe than an actual wave.Great fun tho. I don't think riding it on your knees is an option unless you ri...

Hey guys. I've never had the surgery but I have been getting ear infections ever since I started surfing. I recently tried a bit of wakeboarding and went down hard. The short story is that I got a massive middle ear infection and went off to the doctor. She prescribed anitbiotics, painkillers and a ...

I reckon if you wanty to ride strapped then the best thing to do is to have the strap behing your knee joint. This would allow you to be strapped while having all you normal manouverability.

Paddleskiers use a strap with a quick release buckle which I am sure could be modified for kneeboards.

But throwing spray, like 'getting air' for the sake of air, is just a trick, and as we all know, "Trix are for kids!" I'm 31 and I love busting air for the sake of air. A 360 is a trick. An air is a move, a very difficult one at that. I've always thought of throwing spray as a sign of pow...

I'm with Albert on this one.

Please lets leave those things in the 80's with Mullets, Glam Rock and pink wetsuits.

Besides they look like some sort of bondage accessory.

Board Length

Hey Red My big board is a 6'5 which I have used at the Kom & the Factory in Cape Town. I find that when riding bigger waves the extra length helps me to smooth out especially when it's not clean. The extra length helps to ride the bumps and maintain speed when riding away from the power. I know ...

Hi Hart.. My mate Carl Ebel from CT South Africa had a step tail a few years ago. The board had klinker style channels and a step in the tail. Carl hated it. I hated it. Basically everone who rode the board hated the way it went. The board was super fast in a straight line but as soon as you put it ...

Off The Wall Off its Face

The pics were taken today at about 10:30 AM local time.

It's about 6-8 foot right now with the wind expected to go SE tomorrow. I might just get a slight case of the flu on Monday and go to the Elands Bay Chemist for some sinus medication.
