Looks like we are pulling the plug on our trip to SF tomorrow (Tuesday). Tide swings and swell aren't adding up for OB and my time is limited to travel south. I'll try to get down there the day or so after xmas. Winds and swell are set up for a good few weeks in Jan with south winds are set to dimin...

Forecast looks to be getting better for 12/23 with a 6-10' face day. Good NE winds projected so OB could be good. Monday will be the indicator and is a little bigger than Tuesday. Mid tide morning going higher so shouldn't be too much current... but then it is OB. Let's keep it fluid. Best to check ...

Well, Surfline is now calling it 15-19' on the 23rd. That doesn't bode well for the beaches and the reefs will be maxed out. Let's keep an eye on it. Something in town may be OK. I'll leave that to Scott Wessling... after that swell we go into a nice period of offshores and 6-10' for awhile. Postpon...

All, We are trying to get a NorCal gathering in the books for Tuesday December 23rd for anyone in the area. Surfline has the surf finally coming down to a meager 9-12' with good offshore winds and an afternoon dropping tide. Could be the place to be! Let's keep an eye on conditions. I'll update here...

Thanks Scott for getting this organized. It was great to hang out with the everyone and a very special treat to surf the morning session "the reef" up the coast.

Get ready... lot's of surf coming our way in the next few weeks!

Per the question on high tide.... We have actually been blessed in the past with some of the better surf at the pier on high tide. Let's hope this happens again. If the surf is not contestable per the head judge then we will have to make adjustments to the schedule as time permits. If it is surfable...
