Re: How often do you get hit hard by your board
Always an interesting topic , we had a good thread on tube ride bailouts a few years ago ( thats always when I get "cracked") but even after four pages of conversation I can't tell you that I feel like I got it totally figured to a science. Even though many of us have years and decades of ...

Re: Technique for generating speed on gutless waves?
Welcome "Kneelo Maine" . The red Blast in your quiver shot looks familiar, is that the one that Scott from San Jose CA put up for sale maybe back in 2013 ?

Slightly off topic but couldn't find spot for "new topic" entries, didn't make March Oceanside contest, but was hoping to score a t-shirt or hoodie with that great contest logo , was there, is there any available Mahalos, Robert

Re: Finally!!!!!!
Good on ya Royce ! Thats absolutely inspirational ! Can you give any details on your diet and exercise discipline. I've gained a bit of weight in this last year here in my temporary Texas exile, and its such a bear to lose, especially when the knees get sore now with running. What was you're secret ...

Re: New Blast stoke
I've had three different pads types from that company, a waffle pattern, elongated diamond pattern, and a striated/ brush finish. The diamond and brush patterns both work very well , the waffle pattern,…it's a cheese grater and your'e the cheddar ! I'm perplexed they dropped the 3/16'' base , a 1/4'...

Re: New Blast stoke
Nice looking boards , do u remember what Bud called the blue one ? ( I'm guessing Fish Hybrid ) Nothing like a brand new pure white Fish , such a classic look. Bud is a meticulous craftsman ! Nice pads on the newy , looks like more of Edgar's from the Big Island, nice guy. My wife bought me an F2K f...

Re: Very Cool Skeleton Bay Footage
What great footage ! Thanks Scott. This sort of softens my negative feelings about drones, compeling perspective of the wave. Also enjoyed watching the pure stoke on the face of the stand-up surfer as he worked the tube. What a fun gift from God it is to surf !

Re: Barry Snyder 6'2 quad
Nice looking board brother, like the color job. Edgar on the Big Island is a good guy , glad he got you set up w/ some pads. Fin positioning looks really good, can you give us the distance for both up from the tail ? looks like full Aussie style.

Hi Josh, I wanna give a big thumbs up for the Cove Pads, I've got a Kung Foo pattern, thinner pad on one of my boards and its fantastic. I don't believe that thick or thin, his pads suck up any substantial amount of water as I think they are ''closed cell'' neoprene ( Casey can answer that for certa...

Aloha Kiwi, I'm a kneeboarder from California/Hawaii out here for right now (Lord willing it'll be a short time, I miss the pacific ) in San Antonio, near the Ratama racetrack in the Selma area. I'll give you a call and maybe we can get together, talk story, and figure out what kind of kneeboard wit...

I would have sworn there was a question about glassing on this thread this morning when I looked at it… ( can these be deleted by author ? ) Anyway, your'e new Romo board's gonna rock Professor, Ron is a masterful shaper, his boards are fast and perform straight up without any drama. Enjoy the ride !

I agree on the 5'-7'' length, at least on your starter board. I'm 5-11'' and around 175 lbs.; my Romo 5'-7'' swallowtail is short enough to get max efficiency from my flippers while paddling into a wave and feels a little more manageable than some of my larger boards. Maybe go with a width of 23'' t...
