Rod, I live in Buxton and Scott makes my kneeboards. And hey to the rest of y'all. Buxton was double overhead with a 20-30 mph offshore wind and bombing today and nobody here but us natives. It was an easy paddle out if you timed it right (terrible if you missed) but the current outside was horrible.

I love it. Guys have said, "No way you made that wave." and I tell them it was the board.

Doug,
Put the week on the calendar on the home page. I surfed head-high waves the past 2 days on that beach while the lighthouse had way too many people. The bars are set up pretty good right now.

Tangle-Free Leash

I can hear the comments now how "real men don't wear leashes", "real men don't wear fins", yada, yada, But for those of us that do (and some beaches require leashes) I've found a solution that prevents my board leash from wrapping around my fin. It's an XM Tangle-Free Comp-Lite S...

BTW, I'll be doing some exploring between Ocean City and OBX after I get settled in a bit, depending on weather etc. Right now, it looks like I'll be there from Dec to June, unless the gubment says otherwise. If you're going to surf the right coast, the Outer Banks are your best bet for consistency...

Hey Bruce how is the new board working for you? I love it, love it, love it! I should have switched over to a kneeboard years ago. It's a shame it took a bad back to force me to convert to a kneelo. I never realized what you guys were in to. I've found I have 2 new mottos; "No take-off is too ...

Those guys caught a solid week of waves. Their week started out with a fairly small but fun chest high SE swell with long rides. Midweek when it was blowing a gale out of the NE and out of control they were still able to duck around the corner to Frisco and catch head high wrap-around waves with sti...

To reapply the pad to a board (assuming the removal was successful) do you use contact cement?

I don't understand who in the Park Service would have given that order to shut down Sandy Hook because of rips. It's sad for those guys in NJ, but laughable to think that same Park Service would ever do it down here where it gets twice as big and a whole lot more often. They only close our beaches f...

Friday we had a nice little warmup session witha chest/shoulder swell that ana gave us before she died. Today (Saturday) started out nice with a 14 second head high swell and grew to a couple of feet overhead by dinnertime and stayed very surfable all day with little current and a 10-20mph SW cross ...
