I agree with Ron. Get it checked out to ensure it is not more serious. In '93 I had lots of lower sciatica back pain like yours. Could not support my own weight most days for 5 months. Chiro, Physio, drugs did not fix it. Went and had a MRI and it was found that I had burst a disc at L5 (would not s...

Dorje,
I've broke 4 OE leggies in 3 years. Trying Balin out now as they got a great rap in Tracks mag last year.

Could you do with one or two more interlopers from the Central Coast?
You got a C grade heat for me?

2nd Creek? Do you turn off before you get to the Surf Club?

I'm halfway between Newcastle and Sydney. Might drive the bug up to Coffs for the contest though.

Have you had a x-ray or MRI on your back? You may have a bulging disk or a burst disk (don't want to frighten you). I burst a disk in '93 and the contents was puting pressure on the spinal cord. Had the operation to remove the contents of the disk and walked out of the hospital 3 days later after go...

Surfwx, I think you got too much wax in your ears. I thought the occy - H2 trade would be a good one. I've got 2 of Parkseys big fibreglass template fins on my thruster. would be interesting to try them on the quad. I'll try to come to the next Novos for a splash around. On the dimensions you gave, ...

Lowrider,
You are not doing a commando raid on Lennox or Crescent are you? Perhaps somewhere further south? If you are down as far as my way catch up.

Dorje, I've got David's big glass template fins in the thruster which makes it a very drivey board so putting this up against the quad fins forward is probably getting close to the reason for the turning difference. If I surf the quad like the thruster it will tail slide. So from this I deduce that ...

Andy, I couldn't believe the difference 1 week Same Break Similar size and shape of wave The Thruster would not turn anywhere like the quad would. Go the Parkes. My quad is a 6ft, 23 1/2, swallow tail, double concave to V, fairly hard rails up to front of rear pads and are turned under (board wider ...

What a difference a week makes. Surfed at the same break as last week but this time on the quad. Conditions were only marginally cleaner. Found out what I've been missing for 3 months. The quad works so much better in the pocket. Fell off a couple of times trying to carve a bottom turn and tail slid...

I went from a parkes tri (with his big template fins) to a parkes quad of the same dimensions last September and I'll echo Headwax's words....Gumbo wipeouts...paddle on, turn too much, bury nose into face of wave after turning TOO much and proceed to surf backwards until I fall off with GeeTee laugh...
