Red & dorje Sophia and I are up for anything, early starts no problems. Name a place and time and we will be there. Provided Sophia doesn't have Judo commitments. I know there are heaps of us about but its just getting the word out and them in one spot. I know Sophia wants to surf in more comps ...

dorje The strange thing it was Sophia (kripchik) who convinced me back into the club scene so too speak. The last time I was in a club was the Mid to late 80's Southside Kneelo's out of SYD. It was great not just for the comps but the people and the tricks that you picked up. When she went to join t...

dorje Their are plenty of Kneelo on the Mornington Pen. You see quite a few at Gunnamatta and Flinders at most of the breaks in reality. On my last few surfs there has been at 2-3 different kneelo's in the water everytime. One rides a Strapper, the other are on Triggers, Balin, Stump or Island board...

Hi Guys I have spoken to them (Vicsurf) in the past as well, and had no joy. They told us to join anyone of the local board clubs who hold comps and the only one that does is PI club. Their appears very little support at the state level other than the masters event. The only reason we joined was so ...

Well with kripchik (Sophia is in New Caledonia) away I have been able to get up even earlier and on the Thurday and Friday mornings (took both day of work). To have some great little waves at Flinders (VIC) of the gunnery 3 to 5 foot. Friday morning had it to myself for 45 mins, but I have to admit ...

Folks The unfortunate thing about surfing is some of the best spots are also the best spots for sharks and seals. I have over my time of surfing, had 6 encounters with sharks. I have never been bitten, but I have the absolute crap scared out of me. Once in QLD, twice in NSW and three times in VIC. T...

Leg ropes are a must the 2 times I have been there I have broken/snapped them. They can a pain to get hold of and they weren't that cheap either for the good ones. Not the ones the kids try to sell too you. It may seem strange but I used a motorbike to get around whilst there and had not probs with ...

Neils Boards I recently brought one of his boards, and I have nothing but praise for it. It's the longest board I have owned 5'10 1/2 x 23 x 2 1/2, pintail and tri fin. If does everything that I could ask of it. The fin combination Neil suggested also works a treat. I'm also looking at getting a lon...

Q1

dorje In ref to Q1 it will make it a lot looser, but you can achieve the same thing ( and keep it asa Tri Fin) if you have FCS or similar system. I use the following setup for small crappy conditions. The rail fins are TF1's and the trailer fin is a GS and it works a treat. For larger surf I just ch...

I'm with you Ler, we need more grog (liqour) shops. I use a lot of V itamin B (VB) a local brew. It make me feel really good, but sometimes it makes me sick, mostly of a morning. As for exercise I wax my board and run from the car to the bottle shop. I exercise my ABS by laying on the lounge and by ...

Bruce Thank you, you have hit it right on the head for me. I want another board, but I want to be able to handle the winter swells we get. I don't feel that I need anything to long, just shaped differently and fin set up. We will be in SYD in the near future. I would like to drop in and have a look ...

Bruce I must being missing something or just crazy. I have owned a gun or semi gun. I have surfed on my old boards in up to 3 meters (Sandon Point) and never had a problem. I must say though I have been well and truly smashed, but is that part of the fun. My new board is 5'11" and have only sur...
