Kneelo on lead photo of LA Times article

Just saw this article in LA Times via FB: http://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-ln-lopez-beach-tour-20160621-snap-story.html . Cool photo at the start of the slideshow! Up here in Humboldt I don't think we have to worry too much about condos on the beach but we do have other issues like vehicles ...

Re: SURF Report

Hey Willy, great to hear you got some of that super clean swell we had a week ago. I surfed it alone, you know where...I was calling it A++, 4-7', really glassy (great flying too!). 17 second power too..I was stoked to get something fun after giant surf for what seemed like weeks and weeks. We're at...

Seen in Ujong Bocor

Just got home after a 22-day trip from Padang to Java...surfed lots of good waves, Mentawaiis, Sumatra, and then there was Panaitan...loved that place! Anyway, saw this along the way...had fun at the left here too.. http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/aa2/1flysurfer/Indo%202015/IMG_0432_zpsrw6fytrj.j...

Here's a link to one I bought for a trip to Indo a few years ago:
linky
Kinda expensive but worked well, wide enough, good protection, wheels.

Well, since it seems we aren't going to get winter weather, at least we're getting winter surf :)... Conditions in Norcal lately have been nothing short of epic--no wind, lots of surf...today was 15' faces at 18 seconds, very powerful yet buttery smooth :D. With no end in sight...

Highly recommend the boat trip as well for the reasons previously mentioned...can't go wrong with SumatranSurfariis either...I've been on 3 trips with them, last one was a 20-dayer to the Telos, Hinakos, and Banyaks..got another one scheduled for April/May, can't wait!

Wow Willy, amazing you and Wes got anything out of this lake right now! We went abbing and crabbing yesterday and Saturday and it was the flattest you'll ever see around here for this time of year. Great for gettin' the abalone though! 25'+ vis, they didn't have a chance :D

Almost happened to me on my first boat trip out there--night crossing, woke up feeling the seasickness coming on, everybody else sleeping...bolted for the door, then right outside the door went for the stainless steel railing to puke over...what I didn't know was that the railing right there was rem...

+1 on the Hotline leashes--I like a 7-8' one myself..one thing not mentioned is the construction of said leash...the Hotlines fold the cord back then the cord that is attached to your board is tied with heavy duty shrink tubing over all that. I've had plenty of leashes with a metal pin through the p...

I surfed with contacts for a long time before I got laser surgery (different topic but wow, so worth it!)...with the contacts I had toric ones at first for my astigmatism but they were $60 each so losing them became an expensive proposition! So I went to the disposable ones and they worked fine, jus...
