Just got home after a 22-day trip from Padang to Java...surfed lots of good waves, Mentawaiis, Sumatra, and then there was Panaitan...loved that place! Well, since it seems we aren't going to get winter weather, at least we're getting winter surf ... Conditions in Norcal lately have been nothing short of epic--no wind, lots of surf...today was 15' faces at 18 seconds, very powerful yet buttery smooth . With no end in sight...

Highly recommend the boat trip as well for the reasons previously mentioned...can't go wrong with SumatranSurfariis either...I've been on 3 trips with them, last one was a 20-dayer to the Telos, Hinakos, and Banyaks..got another one scheduled for April/May, can't wait!
