In a Rut
All, I started KBing about 8 years ago (formerly sponged with some longboarding thrown in there which I still do). I went at it hard for the first five years or so, but have definately hit a plateau. (e.g. I pretty much feel like I've been riding waves the exact same way for the last 3 to 4 years). ...

Train
The usual fitness for now, I'm headed on a trip mid Sept, but when I get back it's going to be a lot of Aquatic Park in SF, (swimming in the bay with a 4/3 on) that works the best for me, other than that, yoga, running some weights etc. I saw some guy at Montara on Sat. jump in the water (wetsuit an...

You all rock. Thanks for the advice. Additional comments welcome. In my research I've found that a dry nasal cavity is more succeptible to infection (because it's constricted) and that a humidifier helps keep the passages more open when you sleep so that they can drain. I like the idea of plugs if f...

Nose Plugs
I guess my Roman nose has been causing me havoc this summer here in Northern Cal. I'm currently in a bout with a second sinus infection, I'm through my course of antibiotics and no improvement. Puzzled, the doc set me up with some nasal steroids. (that's all I need is a bigger nose :) I have to stay...

The Fish - Hollywoods biggest surf celebrity
I'm becoming increasingly intrigued by the discussions on the fish. I currently do not have one in my quiver, but plan to add one soon. Growing up I was always told by my standup friends that they were designed for mushy waves etc. I recently picked up the surf move "Sprout" and was quite ...

Why, Sand Dollar Beach I guess.......
Might I start by saying great question. I always loved riding waves as we all do, started sponging back in the early 80's, going straight, no flippers, etc neon wetsut.........dear god. I spent 15 or so years on my belly, had a blast, but decided to learn to stand up surf. After 4 or so years on a l...

Holding the Bag
Have an "On A Mission" bag", (some refer to them as OAM bags for short), the back accordiens (I probably spelled that wrong) out to accomodate fins, I think mine is around 6'1" in length, but there is a divider on the inside that is meant to separate 2 boards (it's much easier if...
