Re: penut shaped knee board

I believe the idea is faster water flow towards the center of the waste on the board and easier turning. Check out the fire wires newest board at this link.

penut shaped knee board

I was wondering if giving a knee board a foam reduction diet about the waste between the ankles and the knees if we could get some interesting performance out of a board like the cornice surfboard by firewire? Basically a peanut shaped board.

The Lis fish would be a good board to start shaping on. Just troll the swaylocs site someone has a link to a vintage surfboard shaping manual with the original Steven Lis fish measurements plus more discussions on how to shape a fish than you could shake a bar of wax at. Modern knee boards have the ...

I wonder how the split tail concept work on a fish board. Would the twin pins make this board loser or would you just not get the hole effect of the split? Would the slight bevel running along the bottom rails from the nose towards the belly have positive effect or negative effect? This could be the...

I was thinking of shaping a fish for my self and keeping the design closer to the Lis fish but push the keels up the board a little further and keep the traditional plywood keels. Ma be pull in the tail just a bit. I am thinking of calling my own garage built board logo Black Fish Project in honer o...

Anybody swinging kettle bells for a workout routine??

Do you want a good training work out but don't have much time to spend in a gym??? I have started out swinging kettle bells as a new exercise routine. To sum up bonzer's since we mount the fins farther up from the tail and our boards tend to run wider than most short boards the bonzer runner or runners should be taller than what is on a stand up board to be effective. The bonzer will make a smother bit longer turn than a thruster. Any knee boarder...

Has any body experienced riding bonzer kneelo's?

I have found two examples of bonzers on the net that is particularly interesting. The first one is a little green shoe board off of swayloc's site and the other example is actually a surf cyak with the fins pushed forward simuller to a modern kneelo. http://www2.swaylocks.com/forums/shoe-kneeboardsu...

This is one of the best posts I have seen in a long time. Usually you can find tons of information on shaping stand up boards. Sometimes conflicting ideas and some of it just flawed however not that much on shaping kneelo's. We have such an individualized sport that you cant just pick up an off of t...

I just found out about the c drive fins. The right up sounds impressive.
I think I would put these fins on just about anything I build.
I think I would use an eps blank if I can find one wide enough. I should be able to make it a little thinner.
