Tom & Lene, my thoughts go out to you. When your kids are healthy you take it for granted and then something like this can happen and knock you sideways. I really hope he makes a full recovery, he looks like he's got plenty of energy & spirit! If I can be of any help to you in the UK, don't ...

Hi Mike, I've been riding them for about 20 years and about the time I started Martin Potter was ripping on a stand-up 4 fin and getting plenty of exposure.

Pretty sure they were around before then as well though. I luv 'em :D

I don't think the ship is going anywhere, it has a massive crack in the hull for starters. A couple of weeks of heavy seas and it will start to break up. Free goodies aside (items on e-bay already, including sand from the beach :?: ), it's making a hell of a mess on land and sea and is going to cost...

Got to agree, I can see why it's newsworthy and good on Lloyd turning up and getting some nice shacks when few were to be had, but..... It can read like world class competative kneeboarding is on the same level (or lower!) in difficulty than 'average' stand-up surfing :( Overall, the local coverage ...

Big thanks to Bryn, Chris & Tony updating the British sites (Dunc and Sky also for the reports & pics). Enjoyed Mark Ashby's Aussie write up as well (I'll always remember Mark for having to be restrained from getting off a moving bus while it was doing about 40 mph in Tahiti  ). Anyone ...

Good stuff Chris, who’s writing the reports? I was hoping there might have been more stuff on this site by now. When is the draw being made? If any of team GB read this, good luck to you all, I’m sure you’ll do us proud. Also glad to see the Cornish flag has made it to California as it’s practically...

Good write up Bryn, Dorje, any more treason and you'll be for the chop  I thought the standard of surfing from Rich, Karl & Bro was really good. Got to give Anthony (woops got it wrong first time) a mention as well for his AA victory. Wouldn't mind seeing the final myself as I got so detac...

Hi all, I've been watching a fair bit of this online as it's on in the late evening UK time. I think it's Danny Fuller from Hawaii who's riding a four-finner, the commentators (Mike Parsons and A.N.Other) were having a bit of a debate about it last night. They reckon they're faster and hold a better...

My ten pence worth - Southern Portugal and Spain can get good waves but don’t generally get as much swell as the West facing Atlantic coast of Portugal and Northern Spain (but is a lot closer to Sevilla) Morocco is a winter favourite with the Brits as it's cheap and the waters warm, as Timo said som...

5 ft ish?, Jodie is quite 'petite' so the pic may be a little deceptive. There were solid 6 - 8 ft sets rolling in out the back. With this break and most UK beach breaks, it's not so much the size of the waves when your on them, it's the paddle out that goes with it, it took me 15 minutes in the sem...
