Fellas- Thanks for the info and links. Seems like lots of surf in Okinawa with plenty of options... from mush burgers to big reef surf (like the Dry Reef and Snake Wine video). I'll keep you posted on what I discover and surf. Check out this shot on Surfline: http://www.surfline.com/surf-news/good-e...

OKINAWA
Anybody familiar with surfing on Okinawa? I'm headed out that way this summer and trying to gather as much surf information as possible before I depart. Any tips, information, or points of contact would be very much appreciated. Lots of Okinawa YouTube and Vimeo videos of surf, some of it epic and b...

Josh, You'll probably hear some different opinions but I say go with the thicker pad. Yes you will save a little weight with the thin pad but personally I can't tell a difference between the weights of the two pads. Thicker pad will give your board and knees a lot more protection. I recommend gettin...

Eyes Open
It's a little weird at first getting your foot on the tail while wearing fins but once you get it down it makes a difference in how deep you can get. The kick helps to push you through the wave and has saved my ass once or twice. I also recommend opening your eyes while passing under the wave. Inste...

Foot or Knee? Drop and give me 50.
I use two methods to duck dive depending on the size of the wave I'm trying to get under and the depth of the water I'm in. My primary, go/to method is to sink the front of my board as deep as I can with my hands/arms and then push the tail down with the ball of my foot, usually my left, and then do...

Take your pick
Hank- Stay Covered in Oceanside made me a great custom triple kneeboard bag. Gotten lots of use out of it and no complaints. I've traveled to Mexico, Costa Rica, Australia, and to both coasts of the USA and no board damage or wear on the bag. My dad and some guys on KSUSA.org have also gotten great ...
