Epoxy

Got a stringer less epoxy parabolic Quad from Vern Jackson and it is great. 6'1" 22 1/2. Expensive but really holding up well ( 2 seasons Okinawa, 3 trips to Bali and the Maldives) so the money was well spent.

I,ve surfed boards shaped by shapers of regular surf boards for the last 29 years and if you have a good relationship with a good shaper you will get should get an excellent product. I do think that if you are unable to get across what you want out of a board then you could be in trouble. One of the...

Fin placement

I,ve always been set with a fin set up of 14" and 6".This setup combined on a 6` x 22 1/2 wide board definitely goes off. Tends to be a little sluggish out of turns in junk waves but as soon as it gets bowly reef waves 4ft and over it comes into its own. With fin placement set back the boa...

Future Fins/Vector Lineup Boards

Just changed changed out the fins on my new 6' x 22 1/2 rounded pin tri fin to the Vector fins (VF 460 108mm Base x 111 Height) that Future Fins are making and they are sweet. Speed from nowhere. Has anybody else played around with these also? This board has heaps of kick thru a really foiled out no...

Farbz, Spent alot of time there over the years. Take your board. Not long waves but some ridiculous barrels. When the swell is right it is as good as it gets. Fortune favours the bold mate. Winter time is the go, same as Tahiti but summer turns on some different spots on the North side. Prepare to l...
