It matters more as to whether you're in warm water or cold, I think. Casey doesn't go cheap and will send you a pad that is fit right to an inch or so of the rail. If you're wearing a wetsuit then you're safe but if you in your boardies then your inner thighs are going to get as chaffed as a $5 hook...

How much do you weigh? What boxes are in most of your boards? I have been having a revival of sorts with my new fin set up. Like most of us, I've packed on a few pounds. I'm pushing over 230 lbs now, but I've been amp'ed up over these Tommy Carrol Redlines and Aqua Lines. Big bases give tons of proj...

Holy $#!t How can this be? It can't possibly be Sprocky's time! Not from a treatable illness like pneumonia! The guy is younger and in better shape (...of better character, more charm, great charisma, more successful, on and on...) than me! I'm in shock. I'm so sorry to hear about this loss for his ...

deck grip
Pro's: 1. Eco friendly. Little or no petrochemicals. 2. Longevity. 3. Better looking than wax. 4. Less messy than wax. Con's 1. Not really clear. Looks more translucent milky white. 2. I don't see strips of tape available for purchase, except as paddle grip. 3. Super expensive to try out. The paddle...

Yeah, what he says!
 'Gotta go with what Chris says. Lots of push ups. Sinking a kneeboard is like trying to plow a tugboat through the water vs. a cigarette boat. Lots of width, lots of depth, and not a whole lot of length. I do my best trying to sink the booger by pushing down with the arms as long as they can ...

Yup... My hat's off to those guys that can take grovelling surf and make it look good. But is that what it's really about? Ok. I'm going to be the first to fire off the big guns: It's been a couple of years now and we haven't had a good show for a long time. Come on! Am I right? You guys have done y...

Looks like he cheated death again on that one: Did you see the smiling skull on the wave face? Nicely done.

Wet Season Trip?
Are you going during the wet season (Nov-March) or dry season (May-Sept)? I do the commute regardless, because I just find the non-hotel area of Nusa Dua much more relaxed, yet overall convenient, than anywhere else on the bukit. Surely a lot better than surf ghetto of Kuta and the 'Yak. Besides, if...

magic board
Ooops... it was only 5'10" ...I must have remembered it bigger than it was! I haven't surfed boards that small in a long time! I'm too fat for that, but many of my 6'+ boards in my quiver have been/are baby swallows.
