ding repair in san diego

I recently had Roper's reglass both rear canards on a quad after they were torn off and whoever did it butchered it. Both fins canted and toed differently and both wrong. The placement isn't even right. Hefty price tag to boot. The board feels like it's got the parking brake on. I don't surf the Roc...

man o' war, I am guilty of complacency. The balsa spoon I started (75% complete) has been sitting idle due to all the posts I have read dealing with fiberglass versions. I wanted strength, but I realize it will only come at the expense of flexibility, which is the foundation of the spoon's performan...

I just got back from a week long camping trip at Jalama, and the surf was HUGE. There were two tow in teams down at Tarantulas, but that was it. We sat there the whole week without being able to paddle out. A quick denial by my wife prevented an excursion to the northern Ranch points, which I am sur...

Unfortunately, surfers like Rob Machado get robbed, (no pun intended). Or look at 4? time longboard champ Rusty Keaulana, somehow beating Joel Tudor consistently year after year? He may bust out some crazy s*&%t in some heavy waves, but he looks like a monkey on crack doing it. The whole thing g...

Hey Willy, we should have everyone cruise up to Ferndale for a drive "around the Horn" and sneak into Shelter Cove the back way through Honeydew so people can see what a special place that area is.

8-9 months even if he's not backed up or in Tobyland. Incredible boards though.

Beeline, I knows it's off topic, but I love the Suess illustration. I do wish I was born with duckfeet. For now I will have to make do with prosthetics.

We are and it is. The problems only arise when we have to leave the water and are forced to come into contact with all the angry worker bees who've been tricked into working their life away for the production of honey (gold?) as they fly by in their shiny monuments to societal progression. An old ro...

What's really weird is that I've been surfing Lis's old haunt for the past few years and recently KBing and I've yet to see another kneeboarder out there. And there are only three at the pointbreak just up the coast that I see with any consistency. This used to be ground zero for the whole movement ...

Yes, for the most part that board's a point and shoot kind of deal, but you'd be surprised how manueverable it is once you get used to it. It's just like driving a boat. The only problem is how spoiled you get from the paddling speed and EARLY wave entry.

I've got a 7'4" Frye Swish which I started riding as a kneeboard before I got my first one. In good waves it goes unreal, but it's a bit stiff in the smaller stuff. It all depends on what you've been riding recently. I rode a 5'9" the other day and it felt like a longboard because I had be...

now that's a good relocation. If I could find a reliable job in a good destination like that, I'd leave tommorow.

Pics are unreal. And again, no disrespect intended. Quite a resume. But why the glum outlook for spoonish equipment? He makes it sound as if it's pointless to pursue. And it probably would be for a beginner, but just because I recently started kneeboarding doesn't mean I just got my feet wet yesterd...

stevea, no disrespect intended, but you are quitting before you have even started. Yes, GG was surfing incredible waves, but if I lived with the kind of surf you are describing, I would move. And I don't know who said it first, but what the mind can conceive, the body can achieve. It may take some l...

Where did Greenough put edge? Was it similar to a Lis, but with a more subtle displacement hull? Any info would help.
