Great vidio, Scott :!: The lefts looked not unlike the waves we had here, Saturday. One major difference however  We have a channel to paddle out in. Honestly, I think the only way I could surf those waves is with the assistance of a jet ski, or preferably a helicopter

Surfing a break where to lose your board means major repairs at best... I have been using a 6 ft. Hotline for many years without having one break. In waves 4 ft. to double overhead +. As Bud mentioned it ends up about 7 ft. after a few sessions. Never had the board come back and hit me. Also use two...

Now I'm embarrassed  Didn't expect such feedback. But it was nice. And funny. Jerry-atric indeed  I was just a little overcome with memories that come from looking back at anything you have loved for so many years. A wave I've surfed literally thousands of times. And no two days exactly t...

Musings of the senile

Turned 60 a couple weeks back. Surfed 12 @ 15 this morning and got a barrel. So what. Coulda' been a bowler instead of a surfer and rolled a 200. ( once rolled a 249 on orange sunshine at the Showboat Lanes and Casino in Las Vegas 40 or so years ago ) But I digress... I'm just here to tell you, turn...

However..... Would not most reasonable people concur.... a kneeboarder in the barrel is aesthetically superior to a sweeper, sweeping :?: And having reached the age where wearing black knee-highs and wingtips with my boardshorts would not be cause for a second glance, there is still that fading, sli...

I have a REAL paddle board. A Joe Bark 12 footer. You know, the kind you either knee ( how appropriate ) or prone paddle. Great for fitness and fun on surfless days. No fear of others thinking you abominable

Thanks, Steen.

No kneeboards on the racks up this way. But part of the charm of kneeboarding is you get to work one on one with your kneeboard shaper, Just like you were some kind of surf star. And your shaper knows what's best for your 240 #s I ride a 5' 9" but am a measly 160 ( Albeit 160 of pure, unadulter...
