Thanks Geoff! I'll see if I can round some more up. I'm not familiar with having to have a URL; have only uploaded jpegs directly. Ha Doc! Yeah, Craig is a character, especially after a few beers ! A really nice guy who would help you out anytime, and like Geoff said, has done a great thing by...

Hey Geoff! Good to see you here. Yeah, surfing the lakes is strange indeed. It takes much dedication to find good waves, but when you do it is very fulfilling. Most surfers would freak at the quality of waves we occasionally get. The truth is though, most of the time it is shitty. Cold, windy, short...

split fins
Hey Scott, I'm very new to kneeling but I have heard that split fins can reduce or eliminate cramping. Force fins are a good example, perhaps a couple of the guys familiar with split fins here can weigh in. Certainly, comprehensive stretching daily and before and after surfing helps. Hope you find w...

Hey Beeline. It is mostly short period wind slop, but with dedication it is possible to score decent waves. I have a bay I make surfboards in and figured I'd give trying a kneeboard a go. With some research and patience it could work. If not, it's a dog and I try again! Below is a photograph of some...

The basics
I was hoping you guys could fill me in on the basics of modern kneeboard design. Dimensions, rocker, foil, bottom and deck shape, rails, tail shape, and fin setup. How are the "Aussie" boards different from others? I'm tall and skinny, surfing mostly normal beachbreak. Any thoughts on dime...

Thanks a lot for the responses, especially Beeline. It makes more sense now. I'm sure I'll have more questions soon. Thanks again- ryan

Multi-fins
Thanks Beeline. A question on multi-fins; Aren't they meant to be surfed from rail to rail to gain speed ala a stand up surfboard? Tighter turning and better hold are a given, but how is speed gained on a multi-fin kneeboard.
Just trying to gain insight. Thanks again- ryan

Single fin?
I'm a young newbie to kneeling (been standing 4 years) and am very stoked so far. I kind of came into it by accident after I made myself an old Lis type 5'8 twin fin to surf stand up. Greenough being a hero of mine, I got the urge to kneel one day in some hollow 2-3' surf and was hooked. So being ve...
