As I started this thread last year I thought I had better give you all a quick update: I am still in pain but not as chronic as last November. Here is a list of treatment so far. I have had anti-inflammatory drugs – no effect. Tried psychology – no effect Physiotherapy – made it worse Had an MRI sca...

I personally don’t have any problem with the rail grab however it should not be done to overcome poor technique of a learner. If you are grabbing the rail because your knees are too close to gain a good balance then you won’t progress. You need to learn to turn using your body first then you can the...

karl Ward has already left the shores of Cornwall and is heading your way. Cannot wait to see the pics of him on the North Shore. He has got three of the nicest boards I have ever seen (and I have examined many boards over the last couple of years - I can tell you). . The boards were designed by our...

Flashpoint Board

Image
There you go. I tell you, this board doesn’t look or feel big. I have ridden big boards in the past but none go like this one or go vertical like this one. This board does it all. I tried to get a pic of the rails but it didn't show them up well.

Mr Hart shaped the board for him-self. The board is 6' by 24''. It is a big board but you wouldent believe it if you saw it. It doesnt feel at all a large board. It is not thick. One guy tried it out this weekend - he had been riding a 5'8'' by 23 1/2 Diplock board. He didnt believe me when I told h...

Flashpoint tri fin with double wings

I have got to thank Mr Hart of Flashpiont Surfing for the most fun I have had riding a kneeboard for years. You see, he left a board with me (one of his own) on a recent visit to the UK and this thing simply goes in anything. Bruce will talk all day about the rail and bottom shapes if you let him bu...

Rocker shapes

Its that old problem, too much rocker and you stop not enough and the board is hard to turn or catches. When I first started to ride Kneeboards in the early eighties, boards were very flat and had a lot of glide. Then came the floater and vertical moves and the rocker was increased producing the poc...
