I saw Bill as he was coming out of the water and seemed to be in quite a bit of pain and was pretty sure he fractured some ribs from his board hitting him in the back. Luckily some of the local crew was able to help drive him up the cliff.

Wish I could be there, I'm still up in SLO town untill tuesday, then I'll be taking the train back down to SD. If anyone wants to surf then, I'll be in San Diego till mid september.

Can't say I don't hate the idea of this haha :P When I went over a couple years ago is was the best time of my life, and I really hope I can make it for the worlds. Well I also got my board specially thin because i don't wiegh too much myself. I also was trying lots of airs and and floaters after getting that board too...which is what I think made my knees go right through the middle once I hit the flats on about a four foot floater. Luckily it was a pretty cle...

yes I was able to get it fixed thanks goodness. And got to ride it in some realllly fun waves at Sunset while I was on the north shore. Don't really ride it too much now in heavy surf cause it is still pretty fragil due to how thin it is. I love blacks though...get barreled everytime I'm down there....
