Transportation
All, i'm looking for someone possibly heading up to Santa Cruz in the very near future (this week or next) that can transport a new board for me to a friend there. I'm willing to contribute towards your gas or drinking needs as needed. Please shoot me an email at bigtony@volcom.com if you are intere...

Length
What every man want's! Actually it's like a lego kit, there's no definitive length you should or shouldn't be using. It's what feels right given the surf and conditions you are looking for. I'm a firm believer of the step up principle and the KISS principle. I usually move my boards up in 2" in...

Volume
Blah, Blah Blah, Blah.... Blah, Blah, Blah....... Joe said it perfectly, everyone is different and should ride what works for them. I agree! Someone said less volume is better in bigger powerful surf, I will agree with this partially only when you are actually up to speed, at plane and tapping the w...

Volume
Any shaper worth his salt can provide volume and foiled rails all at the same time. Hiding the volume in the center point while tapering off and foiling down the rails is how Bruce and Buddy do it for me, ya just gotta ask for it. My boards are 60L and 6-3", 6-5", 6-7" and relative to...

Surf reports are wrong
Santa Barbara County is predicted to be small and windy for the next week, best bet is for everyone to stay home and surf your local breaks instead.

Torn Achilles
I tore my Achilles at the insertion which is just under the heal area, so you can imagine how far it rolled up the calf. I had to have total reconstructive surgery to put it back together which is like sewing shredded wet toilet paper. My I was on crutches and in a boot for 7 months non weight barin...
