its interesting to note how protective people get regarding friends rather than see the big picture of international (world wide?) kneeboarding to the point of a jingoistic comment none have had a bad word regarding Lloyd from a comp perspective, a 20 year layoff then an instant potential champ does...

To add a personal touch to this story. Lloyd was playing guitar in front of Rockview one morning just after christmas when myself and mark miller were having a mat surfing session in 3ft glassy peelers. we were the only two in the water for nearly 2 hours. great session. anyway, Steve Neal was down ...

I just use the coastal waters forecast to 20nm out from NOAA. usually very accurate with winds and swell heights, but forecasting on the east coast is much different than out west. just track the storm fronts, and when they pass, get on it. also, living on top of a giant sand dune with a view of the...

i've been seriously considering coming over for the PI comp...just gotta get on that Quantas air pass deal. i wouldn't need the boards for myself, but i'd be glad to bring them back to the states to give away to the kiddies...there are lots of kids here on the east coast that wouldn't know what a kn...

i'm on the same sort of trip right now...kneeriding being my first choice, particularly when it's hollow, or just quality surf, but i still enjoy taking out either my 9'6 or 9'9. and in reality, i probably spend more actual water time just bodysurfing than anything else. everything is fun, each form...

Thanks for all the response, the good, the bad, the funny, and the spongy. I've been in the Outer Banks for a few days, hoping to spend some time testing my 4'10, but got skunked. ManO- I don't know about the gath alien helmet look, but as far as board size, that's about what i'm thinking. I'll upda...

I'm not particularly small at 5'10 185#. I definitely don't want to bulk up, i just want longer arms. the reason that i want to go shorter is because i like to hang off the back of the board to bury my udt's for max power and i prefer to have one hand on the nose when doing this, rather than both ha...

Smallest Twin Keel Ridden?
How small have you guys gone with a fish? (both length and thickness)
right now i'm at 4'10x23x2.75 and feel like the board is too long and too thick. i'm thinking i can go down to 4'6 and 2" thick with a super heavy glass job.
thoughts, opinions, suggestions?

Though i've only ridden this board twice, my initial opinion is a resounding yes! http://www.swaylocks.com/forum/gforum.cgi?do=post_attachment;postatt_id=15016; the twin channels on my quad are similar to the venturi effect made so popular by the Campbell bros. Bonzer's I've had it in 6ft barrels an...

google- is first street still doing that crazy backwash trick at high tide? I haven't surfed there since last august, but i remember one day of clean swell where it was just pitching, rolling up the beach, and then exploding on the way back out. lots of fun to bodysurf, i was getting more air than a...

crowds are for the most part nonexistant, especially since the sandbars shift so much during winter storms. much like the outer banks, just drive down the road a bit more to find a bar to yourself. with that said, there are tons of surfers all along the coastlines of nc, va, del, md, and jersey, so ...
