I like having difffrent types of boards for diffrent situations, or just to change up the feel. The board I am riding now I think is 6'3 x 23 x 2.5. I had it out in decent size and shaped waves today and it went pretty good. I would hesitate to make any judgments about the board yet as my technique...

Sorry to pose a follow-on question... but what are the dimensions of the board you have, and how are you feeling about it's performance? Also, have there been boards you've seen that have looked promising? Fins-forward quads? Tri's? There's a few schools of thought. I, like you, like to have back-u...

I am 6'4 and about 240 right now, I will get back down to about 225 in the summer. I ride a 6'3 tri fin rounded pin now. The places that I surf are all beachbreak right now, in HB and NB. I am moving farther south so some reefs and points will be thrown into the mix. My backaround is standup with a ...

why a new board? why not another used one? If it has to be a new one... the only advice I can offer is if you choose a shaper that has very little or no experience shaping kneeboards... take the cash and burn it before you give it away on something that is probably not going to work I am totally op...

Ordering A new Board..Shaper Recommendations?
I am looking to order a new board for 2 reasons , even though I just started kneeboarding. 1. because I enjoy it very much, and 2. because for some weird reason I always have to have two of everything I like in case 1 breaks. It may be a touch of OCD. Anyway I live in southern California and would l...

Thanks for the advice! I am currently running Future AM2's in the sides wth a FCS G5 in the center postion. I could move it back A little to tighten up the board a little bit. I have a bunch of Future fins to try, AM1's F6, TP, Vector sides. And another FCS GYU for the center. The board is a rounded...

Speed!?
So I am new to kneeboarding. I bought a board from Beeline and had it out this AM in ok surf. The main thing I have noticed is that I cannot generate speed. When you are stand up surfing you can pump, when bodysurfing you can kick, when kneeboarding do you just sit there? I was trying to get around ...

Re: longerfins/flippers
parsimony@earthlink.net is where you can get in touch with Dr. Deet from what the site on a post six post above. I tried this morning waiting for reply. He gets very busy, give it a few days and he will get back to you. I have ordered 4 pair from him over the years. Still like Vipers better though....

Hey I am a total Kneeboarding Noob but I have been wearing fins for a long time. I find that the UDT's are hellish if they do not fit you exactly right. For me, the foot pocket is a little small and after wearing them for 30 min to an hour my feet are in horrible pain. The comment above about your c...
