We got 22 inches of rain at my house and two bedrooms flooded. Thankfully we have flood insurance and I already filed a claim.

Fun fun fun here in Florida too. About chest high, speedy, glassy mid to high tide shorebreak. I've been longboarding for about a month, so getting some fast waves on a Flashpoint was a real treat!

Yes, I have a very, very cool wife!! I finalized the trip, with 6 days of surf in late July. We chose the hotel Finstera.

Two points:

My wife just layed this trip on me, and we haven't even looked for places to stay yet, so all this is helpful, thanks.
And in case anyone is wondering, yes, Florida has gone completely flat for the summer.

Any info would be greatly appreciated. I'm going in July or August.

Is there a definable California style? If so, have fins back board designs and the need for wetsuits all year long created a distinct kneeboard riding style that is unique to the US west coast?
I have pondered this question for some time and I respectfully submit it to the forum.
