Finally surfed some Southerly swell up here that actually showed up!
Surfed an elusive( to me at least) so. swell reef that I hardly see good enough to hassle, but finally got it pretty good. Nice to feel some power.

Another option is to try the Oneill fin booties which are just 3mm of neoprene - no thick hard bottom sole. http://www.oneill.com/#/men/asiapacific/collection/men/wetsuits/surf/boots_hoods_gloves/heat_sock_pair/black/ This way you can still stick with the Vipers? The main draw back of those booties ...

Visiting Down South
It's that time of the year for the Zavala family pilgrimmage to Oceanside to visit Gramps and all the other kinfolk.
If there will be any kneeboard gatherings I'd like to know.I hope for some dawn patrols.
Looking forward to some warmer water.
What are the temps?
Thanks
Fredo

Park seats @ Petco Park
Hey to all you bros in San Diego, I'm coming down to O'side for a week for the July 4th holiday. Yeah, hopefully some warm water too. I'm thinking of taking in a Padre game in that park within a park section. Has anyone sat there, and is it worth it? Just want a cheap night out and let the kiddos run...

Real quickly, just wanted to post that I surfed yesterday and had no cramps due to the good advice I recieved from this posting!! :D I stretched more thoroughly and for longer, and added propel with calcium to my liter of water + 250 mg. of magnesium and requisite banana. Thanks for the current feedback y'all. I know the calf cramp subject has come up before on the site and I remembered the tonic water cure. Well, I tried it this morning and I think that it didn't sit well with me. I was drinking on my way to the coast(probably 12 oz) and when I got there I had to go...

Tonic water for calf cramps
Okay,
I'm tired of still getting cramps in da calf muscle.
How much of that nasty stuff (tonic water) must one drink in order to recieve the therapeutic benefit?
Waiting for replies . . .
Thanks.

Actually found a spot that seemed to be the only spot picking up the So. hemi. Eventually alot of other guys figured that out too! This is why the early bird gets the worm. I was the first out! The water was so cold I actually cut short my session, (and I wear gloves, hood, and booties , 4/3!) Someo...
