Would you still use a deck patch with this or is the bamboo strong enough to prevent knee dings?
How about a fin patch?

Greenlight blanks and fiberglass cloth
Has any body used greenlight's surfboard blanks and or the bamboo cloth.
I noticed that they have 24 inch wide blanks with rather low tail rockers.
I was just wondering how many layers of bamboo cloth it would take to make a strong board.

My new blog with future shaping info.
I have started a new blog to explore kneeboarding design theory. I am going through the kneeboard design forum and swaylocs to learn as much as I can about the differences between kneeboard shaping and stand up boards. If you see anything I have wrong or off pleas notify me. I am currently trying to...

Funny thing you mentioned Paipo. I just read an article about a guy that shapes and rides Paipo's with the measurements of 28 to 30 inches in width and about 6 foot long usually twin fin. The idea is you can ride larger surf with out stalling in the dead spots and the ability to lift the swim fins o...

I was wondering what would make a beginner kneelo to shape.
I was wondering what would make a good beginner kneelo to try my hands at shaping. I am 6'4" 260 lbs and surf a lot of the south orange county breaks. I was considering either a crosier slab styled board or a fish. I was thinking of a board about 6'4" 23 to 24 at the waist 2 3/4 to 3"...

I guess I will have to find a kneelo surfer one day to stick on my header. I got a little tired of doing searches in Google for things like kneelo surf lessons and seeing nothing on the topic come up. I might have to eventually write a page on how to start kneelo surfing and what makes a good start...

Surfers code rule #12 Spread the stoke.
Surfers code rule #12 Spread the stoke. I have noticed the lack of information on the internet for a newbie to learn to start knee surfing. I can find videos on video jug and youtube on how to start stand up surfing or which board is a good board to start surfing with. There is no downloadable pdf f...

Advice for a begining kneeboarder.
I am kind of new to kneeboarding and was wondering what boards would be good to start on? I am a middle aged surfer about 6'4" and a bit north of 260 pounds. My surfing sites are basically south orange county CA. I was thinking of shaping a board for my self and was wondering what would be good...
