Re: The 2017 US Titles wrap up

Yes, I had a scheduled surgery almost two weeks ago and will be out of the water for another week. But I was text Brad and others trying to get info Thursday night and throughout Friday. I'll be at the next one!

Re: The 2017 US Titles wrap up

Thanks so much for the time to edit everything in the finals and also the awards presentation--that's a lot of work but now I can see what it was like there and sense the happy vibe.

Re: 54th and Fun Video shot 2/4/17 in Newport

I enjoyed this, too. I appreciated especially seeing how proficient Sam Coyne (I'm thinking that was him) is in getting up to full speed in a hurry. Making waves is always a great goal and he was getting across those walls quickly indeed.

Re: Big guy small board

Hi Berserker. Regarding your question about catching waves and/or bogging down. If you have decent leg strength and can keep the board flat on the surface while you kick into waves, you should be able to get plenty with a board of your listed dimensions (granted that once you catch the wave you ofte...

Re: swim fins

I use smaller Viper fins when the surf is 4' or below, but for sheer power, and certainly for big swells it's hard to beat Duck Feet. It's just that they can cause cramps a bit quicker in some folks, but I find I have some cramping issues regardless of which fins I use. Stiffer blades are often the ...

Re: Volan Kneelo...

Thanks for posting on your unique board, BSD. Certainly a wide board, like most kneeboards, at 24", but also pretty wide at the nose and tail, too. At 6'6" I assume this rider is a pretty big guy, too. Hope he has a great time making the transition, and finds some other kneelos to surf wit...

Re: GG's Back with single fins

Great to see that GG is getting back into shaping boards, always with interesting designs. And cool to see good surfers riding them in some decent surf. That board got going really fast on those right hand point waves, I thought.

Re: help me pick a late March ttrip

Ocean Beach is really getting fickle at that time, with the steady NW problem winds making their daily appearance beginning about April 1.

Very Cool Skeleton Bay Footage

I don't know who the kneelo is who makes some great appearances in the second half of this short video, but he's getting some great waves! Anyone know who he is?

Re: SURF Report

Lots of swell in the Santa Cruz area, with a full range to choose from: macking Ocean Beach, Mavericks (yeah, right...), reefs north of Santa Cruz big but much more doable. Town with lots of days in the 6 - 10' range, and then places like The Hook and Capitola is you want some lined up, fun and easy...

2015-2016 NSSA Northwest Conference Kneeboarding Contest Opportunity

Hi, everyone. We enjoyed a nice series of contests last year runs by the NSSA, and they've opened up again to have kneelo heats for the 2015-2016 season. So...there are three contests nicely spaced out in the coming months in which we can have a couple of semi-final and final heats: a. Sunday, Decem...
