Er ... I see one of the three founders of Harddartz is Roy Lentz, of Dee Why Point fame, mate of PC etc etc etc.

Kneeboarders interested in finless surfing look no furtherer!

As usual, where there's innovation there's a man kneeling.

Yep Griz, inspiring and refreshing for sure. JD, you're onto something. Drive has to come first of all from the wave. Fins can direct and even amplify it, but without a wave, there can be no surfing. Now might be a good time to reflect on the development of the modern surfboard. When Duke Kahanamoku...

Bruce? Don't start that please Mr Birth, you'll only confuse everyone even more. Now that I've broken the deafening silence, where and when? I'm thinking Kingie on a Sunday early, or is the plan to make a day of it and include spouses, offspring, dogs and horses? I'll be there if humanly possible, b...

Shocked. This kind of stuff should not happen. Stands as a stark reminder that in spite of all our science and technology we still depend on each other as much as ever. Andy was a nice guy. Late one afternoon a few years ago in the lead-up to the Quikkie Pro, I was surfing the Superbank. Usual crowd...

Thanks, kidrock, for the news. Seems all those prayers that went out months back may have helped a little, along with the marvels of medical science.
Cool when the KB ohana pulls together like that.

MOW, may the waves rise to greet you.

Interesting comments attached to the article. Leads me to wonder how the respondents remember to inhale and exhale, let alone use a computer.
We live in interesting times.

Thanks Ross. Interesting what was said about "authentic" surf history. Bird and the Big Rock crew are a huge repository of that stuff. Genuine characters each and every one.

Prayers and a truckload of Aloha for you from the Goldie, Kenny.

A slapping like that may slow you down for a while, but you'll be back soon, and with a cool story.

Mike, that's a good point you made. I think like Steen that we're songwriters rather than dumb tourists, but then again there's a strong argument for seeing all surfers as dumb tourists misinterpreting Polynesian culture. The slogan says "only a surfer knows the feeling", but just exactly ...

Listen now!

call me old fashioned in this respect :P Well, hold on there jdc ... Airs have been around since the early-mid 1980s... Kneelos have been doing them for just as long, in and out of contests. There might be a few old guys from the West coast of the USA still able to remember a move from the late 60s...
