Re: vzv

    For points sake! Twitch Twitch! I'm going to say RAD! His style is like dropknee legend Paul Roach--forgive the following cliche--on crack. If Paul Roach had chosen to ride kneeboards instead of dropknee riding bodyboards, he might have looked a little bit like that. The guy...

Just sent an email to Freeline's guy about pictures of the merchandise from the contest. I'm thinking of springing for a beanie and/or tee! I just want to know what they look like, first. Thanks to everyone that has brought back photos. I loved looking at Greybeard's photos, and everyone else's of c...

Watch out! You're motivating me. I'll be a title threat for '10--just watch. Or not--but I would like to compete next year. I have been thinking about it the last two years but I need to practice first--what a foreign concept, right? Just being in the mix would be amazing. There seems to be a dispro...

I dearly hope he's okay. I only ever talked to him once. But, he offered to show me around PV. That's something only a local with a big heart would do; people take a lot of flak for bringing friends to spots there. I have found my way around up there at this point. I still remember this though, beca...

Thanks for the flood of replies, guys! I am going to pick up The Ding Scriptures book--if that does not work, I will PM you for instructions, Kidrock! I imagine the book should set me straight, but who knows. My love has always been hands on art/building projects, but the fiberglass work is tricky b...

reparing my current kneeboard: technique[s]?

Hi all. The Blue Bottle is in shambles--delamming deck, missing a skeg (though the box looks to be intact), and with holes various places--including the nose and the tail. Leaving the delamination aside, what is the quickest fix (besides the failing duck tape) to get it back in the water? I have to ...

This is the best kneeboarding news I have heard in a long time! Long live the kneeboard, and those that are committed riders! Congrats Simon, this is a good push for all kneeboarders worldwide!

Re: Congratulations on going kneelo

Welcome! I started kneeboading a few years ago as a hybrid between stand up and bodyboarding and I love it. I picked up my first board used from a dude I met at the kneeboard gatherings a few years ago--a Blast Hawaii board shaped by Bud McCray. From there I went on to get a kneeboard custom shaped...

Meet you at the cove! Ha, ha. I guess I got a little bit too worked up about the whole cove thing. I was sent some PMs. Its all in good fun. Kneeboarding the Wedge is one of my goals. I kneeboarded another OC Wedge, as per my mention in the other post, yesterday. It was awesome. I cannot wait to fe...

Uh--no. If someone is down to surf with another kneelo, send me a PM or post it here if its actually a secret spot. I respect secret spot locations; I am not one to run my mouth about spots that are heavy enough that they regulate themselves, or are just so damn fun to surf that I do not want to let...

PS--Nov, I feel your sentiment about youth. I was going to give my board to a kid at one point, and now he's a semi-sponsored bodyboarder. He dropknees a lot. Go figure!

bodyboardings on its way out Go to Newport's Wedge on a good day and rethink that statement. Or look at the Australian bodyboarding press. But I can see where you might get the wrong impression about bodyboarding. Bodyboarding Magazine, the one the layman could pick up at 7-11 and Ralph's alongside...

It will likely be gone. Most people see it as antiquated when compared to dropknee/prone sponging or standup surfing. In reality, its an amazing experience, but I don't think with the current lack of interest in the sport that people are going to realize that soon enough to keep it from vanishing. E...
