Bring on the video...

Scott, Of course I'll post the video! Vanity shot or not I'm sorry I missed the event and will try to make it next year. Camping is great but a nice restaraunt meal at the end of the day sounds even better! Cheers, Don Willy - give me a ring if your coming down for any '9er's games this year... noth...

Contest Moved to October 15th...

All - The contest has been moved to October 15th. This is a very good thing as July can be a very "iffy" month. October has a much better chance for surf and good weather. Additionally, we have worked out the contest entry fee to be $50. Paul West is a huge supporter of our efforts and is ...

Entry Fee...

All,

I'm working with the contest director to negotiate a price. He was under the gun and just posted the same entry fee for all.

Let me see what I can do...

Cheers,

Oceanside USSF Contest...

It's that time again! This will be our 3rd consecutive year at the O'side contest. They've moved the comp to the south Jetty which should have a good sand bar setup. The flavor of the comp will be more "grass roots / camaradarie" oriented... Sound familiar? Details on the comp will be post...

Guatemala - a different trip...

I'm here in Guatemala on the biggest NON surfing trip of my life. While this country has a coast on both the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, my quest is of a different journey. Bonnie and I are adopting a baby. We arrived on Thursday night and met our new daughter Lana Friday morning. We were able to t...

Site name...

Well, as you can see, I've tried to accommodate all with the logo change. I don't see a lot of value in changing the domain / site name unless it's a collective decision by all the various country kneeboard body reps... haven't heard much about it from them so for now, it's KSUSA... News flash: I ch...

Mobility...

... One of the things that made the '99 Worlds in New Zealand so fun was that it was a mobile contest. The organizers did their best to make sure we were on good contestable waves each day. Would it be possible to have a mobile event utilizing the breaks in No. Santa Cruz County? There is a wide va...

August 1 Parkes shipment - US West Coast

All, In order to keep the lag time down between orders and shipments, David is sending shipments here every 2-3 months. It works like this: Shipment # will be assigned (Date format MMDDYY). Shipment Status will be Custom / Stock and change as orders are taken. Shipment Date is date followed by P-pla...

Dorje, David was riding a 6'8" tri-fin. Fins were large on the outside and medium size center. David got quite a few waves at Sunset during his 3 weeks. I learned a lot about Sunset by watching and video taping (hopefully I'll get a couple new short vids up soon). I definitely see the draw to t...

Steeno,

Bonnie and I have been thinking about our next trip to Oz. Keep those temps around... surfing in boardies... wow, what a concept. When our surf pumps it's 4/3 or 5/3 with hood & booties.

Post the pics...

Cheers,

Don

Follow up... Checked the buoys at 5 AM. Still solid swell and biggest at the Monterey buoy. Forget the reefs and head straight to town to hook up w/ Scott, Bob, Jon Manss, Nick Hahn and John Mel. Early SE winds were not helping things but Steamer Lane looked like a good idea based on the previous da...

Good week!

Nor Cal (and probably So Cal) are in for a treat. Good swell and it's going to last awhile. Thought I'd set the stage early for what we have planned tomorrow: Jon Manss, Scott Wessling, Bob Schiff, John Mel, Don Harris (for sures) David Noel, John Sieraski, Scott MacDonald, others? (maybes) Plan: ch...
