Max, I think that you're spot on! From what I recall, one of my custom fishes from Lis, he shaped me a board with chanels and single wing. it worked extremely well when the waves were super clean. My last Toby has two soft chanels that run in between the quad fins that act like afterburners. Rides a...

I heard about "russell" passing away a couple of days ago. My prayers go out to his family! I remember going into his surf shop in the mid 70's
He built some beautiful boards.
RIP Robert.

Bill, Did you ever run into Chris or any of the z-boys when you lived with
with your parents in Westwood? Some of their skate banks were in
Brentwood, and some Santa Monica schools close by.

George Reber lived down the street from me when I was in L.A.
My little brother, George and I used to make our own belly boards until
we started dropping dropping resin in my Dad's pristene garage!
He ended our shaping careers :(

Max, the big south was on the 5 O' clock news today! They showed some
very big sets all being bodysurfed! One guy was interviewed saying
that he's been hurt a couple of times at the Wedge. Most of the waves
looked like they were closing out. :o

Hey Jeff, and all other interested parties, Ken I believe is spot on about the year of your board. 71-72 sounds right. Knee master Buzz Blodgett shaped all the Sunset kneeboards back in the day! He's a master glass blower still living in Encinitas teaching the art. Another member, ezak and I bought ...

badknees, I've heard about the show that you're talking about from some friends of mine, and my Dad. I don't have cable or dish tv so I've never seen it. Bird, is Eric Huffman former kneeboarder from here in La Jolla, Rex's brother. It's believable that he sold a Lis fish for $1000. I like to check ...

I'm the "happy camper" today. After Joe posted the Greenough article I search for it. They always have it at my local 7 eleven. (quiki mart). There were none to be found! Wait, it rained a couple of days ago, maybe they got soaking wet and were tossed out? But this morning, getting some co...

Bill made the cover of Surfer mag surfing Blacks in the early 60's by a photo by Ron Stoner! Bill usuall...
