If your looking for recommendations,I recommend you trash the sponge and get a kneeboard.There is no comparison in maneuverability and speed.

The board in the picture looks like it's only about 4' long.Looks like the belly boards we road as a kid.

I've never been there,but if your only going to be there for a week,I would suggest going at the most consistent time possible.I would hate to think of going to Tavarua and getting skunked!!OOUCH!!
