"Bottom Feeder" duck diving

This is a great thread, always had a bit more trouble with it since going up to the 5-10"s,6-0"s x WIDE , can't push board deep enough or get sufficient downforce on tail with my knee to escape the ballistic launch effects of the oncoming foam cloud. " Best " duck dive ever?... n...

Budgie, is that a Parkes quad or tri-fin ? ( sorry, not too familiar with what Albert and Cheyne are currently riding.) Had a quad board that was modeled after the DP quads I saw Craig Ashdown riding in 96 when he came to Calif. for a contest. Took it out on an epic weekend of surf at Huntington, cr...

Mark, I've always had best results with heating the immediate area your peeling up with a blow dryer, just a few inches at a time, trying to keep the "peel up angle" fairly flat (might lessen the amount of adhesive that stays behind). If you do this outside in the hot sun this will acceler...

What a great time to be a kneeboarder !! This fin system looks so versatile; hope they have some inside foil side fins. Been using the AM 2's and the M7's , love em, nice and fast. Max keep us posted on Romo's input, this would add yet another level of versatility to his rocket sleds.

Bud I used to surf that section of H.B. all the time with my Frye fish, right around Magnolia st. , fun waves with light crowds. So what's the consensus everybody with the quad Lis fishes compared to the old school twin keel fin versions. I'm presuming that like older configuration, a good rail grab...

Crystal Vger

AM. Glass, I had called Mollusk and they said they had some copies on DVD but they are produced in Australia and have a format/ encryption or something that according to them prevents them from being played on most but not all American DVD players, they said it will play on all U.S. computers. Wonde...

Definitely some serious kneeboard history at the pier; I remember you could walk in " George's Surf Center " ( mid-70's) on main street and there toward the back of the shop was a couple of double-sided racks with nothin but kneeboards !

Re: What movie this clip is from

Mahalos to Rooster and Mason, I have "Innermost Limits of Pure Fun" but couldn't recall seeing that sequence. Can't remember if I've ever seen a copy of Fantastic Plastic Machine but I'll add it to my list of cool old surf flicks I'd love to stumble across ( always checking the shelf for a...

Speaking of multi-colored wetsuits and boxes of 80's vhs surf videos anybody out there got a copy of an Aussie surf movie called " Water Slaughter", no Chayne in it, but tons of kneeboarding with a not half bad soundtrack ( ok it's a bit 80's-ish ) I used to have a second generation copy o...

greenough video

I could only aspire to walk so well over rocks while wearing full size duck feet...utterly freakish. Well, not much on T.V. tonight, think I'll put on my Vipers and go for a quick jog around the block. Masons, what's the name of that original vhs your dad has anyway?
