I haven't surfed in a contest in 15 years and I'm wondering what the judges will be looking for from the contestants in this contest. This weekend could be good. A little bit of surf heading our way... Saturday and Sunday.

The south side of Oceanside Peir was going off yesterday. Not as big as the previous two days but top to bottom and rifling. Plenty of tubes for everyone.

I've checked DMJs every morning for the past two days and it's been nothing but two foot shorebreak. That being said the south side of Oceanside Peir has been a lot of fun. Fair number of kneelos in the water too.

I do not think DMJs will be the call in the morning.

Just surfed Lowers. Waist to chest and a little bit soft. Not too crowded. Hopefully this weekend will not disapoint.

I'll be in the Oside area all weekend. Maybe see you guys out.

Head to Ha'atafu Beach Resort and hook up with Steve Burling. He's been in Tonga for 30 years or so and has the place wired. Looks like Sunday could be the day for HB/RJs. I'm going to dawn patrol my way up there if anyone's interested getting a session.

Beeline and the HB crew let me know where you'll be surfing.

Make the jump this winter and surf the reefs and points in PV. Kind of a bad rep for localism but if you can surf and are respectful you can get some bombs when the west swells hit.
