i have always heard that you need a slow hollow peak.Slow,down the line takeoff and can't be a immediate twenty yard turn.that you need a wave that you can work up to speed and then they are very ,very fast.
I watched GG ride his at big rincon and he would let the wave push him down the line to start his run.I also saw him submarine under big waves and pop up after swimming a very long way.he really had those things wired. I rode in the coupe once too.It was totally modified and yet very simple.
