I have a 9' Swizzle that I like a lot. I have epoxy, fiberglass and other foam boards too. The Swizzle has a good combination of rocker and rails. It's quite fast down the line and the rail holds the face of the water nicely. The foam is nice, indestructable, and safe. It's so much nicer when charging gnarly conditions that might stretch my ability. The foam feels a little heavier than a board like my HIC with 4oz / 6oz glass. However, I don't mind. The rear rail of the Swizzle is like a body board rail and you can really dig it into the wave face. I've been thinking of getting an 8' one too when I get some more cash.
Don't confuse these Swizzles with boards like the BZ Doyle or the Surftech Softop that have pretty weak designs for anyone beyond a beginner level. Those boards have a flat rocker and soft rails, makes the turns less fun and are not really good and grabbing the face of the wave with the rail of the board. I have both of these boards in my garage some place.
I would be curious as to other foam board design experiences. I hear that "TheSurfingLife" has a fish board for a cheap $149. I wonder if this 5'3" Fish is any good or if it is a waste of money. I weigh about 175 lbs.

I'm really satisfied with my Swizzle. Design and construction are good. I bought it new.

i got my daughter the malibu 6'4" surfing life model and we both really like it. it's super light so she can carry it and it's nearly indestructible. it could literally be thrown on the rocks.
it's shaped like a classic malibu pop-out and the rocker and outline are really super functional. i did'nt think i would get such a durable, surfable board for her. i've rode the thing and it really flys.
i don't know about the fish but if your looking for a good beginner board for the kids, this is it.

Foam boards
Mike, thanks for the info. I think I should have bought my son the 6' 4" Malibu. I bought him a 7' BZ Doyle foam board. It's an okay board, just a kind of big for him and a little heavy, considering that he's 4' 1" and around 60 lbs. I rented him an epoxy 6' 0" in Hawaii and it seemed to be a better board for him. I also have a 5' 0" Liquid Shredder, which was not a good purchase. The shape and quality are not that good.
I was actually thinking of the 5' 3" fish as a way that I could try out kneeboarding cheaply. Right now, I'm a stand up surfer and don't know if I would like kneeboarding or not. It sure looks like a blast. I'm also a little worried about having that fiberglass board so close to my face.
Maybe I should go out and just get a new fiberglass kneeboard... I'm having such a fun time on my 9'0" parabolic longboard, that I wanted to see if there was a way to get a foam kneeboard.
